• “Best Before” vs. “Use By”:

  “Best before” dates indicate when the beer will be at its best quality. “Use by” dates, which are required for products with a shelf life of less than two years, indicate when the product should not be consumed due to potential safety concerns. 

• No Expiration Dates for Beer:

  Beer typically does not have expiration dates because its alcohol content acts as a natural preservative. However, the beer’s flavour can degrade over time.
